My Connections is an interactive network where FARMD members can exchange ideas, knowledge, and opportunities with fellow ag-risk management practitioners. This members-only section of FARMD enables users to gain detailed information about activities fellow members and organizations are engaged in through individual profiles, as well as allowing users to engage in in-depth dialogue through forum discussions, blog comments, resource postings, chats, and debates.
My Connections is hosted through the NING platform, a social networking site that helps to facilitate the interactive aspects desired of FARMD members. To learn more about NING, click here.
Members of My Connections are encouraged to share information and discuss ideas about current and prospective projects. There are different ways once you are a registered member to participate and contribute your knowledge and expertise to the growing knowledge base around agricultural risk management:
- Interact directly with other members through their profile
- Add a Blog Post
- Ask or Answer a Question in “Ask the Forum”
- Join a Group
- Add Resources
- And more!
Registration with My Connections is separate from your registration with FARMD, and all that is needed is your email address and a personalized password. After that, you can choose how to customize your profile and which aspects of my Connections to participate in. If you have any further questions on My Connections, please e-mail: [email protected].
