The FARMD online knowledge platform gives all visitors access to the latest information on ag-risk management in developing countries, best practices, a library of documents/reports, and a set of tools to support and enhance communities of practice related to specific and general ag-risk management topics.

As an open forum, the success of FARMD relies on the engagement of its members and users. FARMD is open to individuals and organizations working and interested in the agricultural risk management field, primarily in developing country contexts. FARMD members are highly diverse and cut across multilateral agencies, bilateral organizations, NGOs, private entities, regional organizations, agriculture supply chain actors, and government organizations, among others. Each member brings their own experiences, skills, and knowledge to the Forum with the intention of sharing and benefiting from the experiences, skills, and knowledge of other members. 

Registered members of FARMD are able to:

  • Fully engage in online discussions in the FARMD Forum,
  • Post comments to articles and resources,
  • Create groups,
  • Write blog posts,
  • Create a member profile, and more.
