Annual Conference 2011 : Price Volatility and Climate Change: Implications for the Ag-Risk Management Agenda

About the Conference

The FARMD Annual Conference 2011 was held June 9-10 in Zurich, Switzerland. The discussions and presentations during the first day of the conference focused on Price volatility, while the focus of the second day was on index insurance under the context of climate change. 

The conference benefited from the perspectives of nearly 30 presenters from the academia, development organizations, NGOs and the private sector. Preparations for the dissemination of videos and conference presentations is undergoing please check back here in the near future to download materials.

Who attended?

Over 80 risk management practitioners working along different supply chains, from farm to market, including representatives of producer organizations, consumers, traders, risk-management service providers, academics, government officials, public authorities, etc. attended and helped make the FARMD Annual Conference a success.

Encouraging feedback from the participants

The positive feedback from the conference's participants has been very encouraging.  High satisfaction was reported in terms of the overall quality of the conference and the fullfitment of expectations.
