Alternative water sources

Under dryland areas, rainfall as a result of climate change causes unwanted crop failure and food insecurity. Farmers have to use alternate water sources to supplement the crops' water requirement, especially during the mid growth stages at which soil moisture is very critical. Supplementary irrigation has increased more than 200% wheat grain yield in Northern Ethiopia.
