Insurance for apples

Considering insurance for apples. Conducted a field mission to meet farmers. It was very useful. Today discussed options. Problem is lack of verifiable yield data (by years and varieties). Canadian expert was very handy - after checking all available options, it looks that hail insurance is the best to start with. One specifics - it might be possible to do this traditional type of insurance on index basis! Will see if that possible.
