Control of rice insect pests

This course is composed of four modules concerning:

  1. The Basics of Cultural Control of Rice Insect Pests
  2. Single Field Cultural Control Practices
  3. Community-Wide Cultural Control Practices
  4. Cultural Control Options Against Specific Insect Pests

Goals:
Upon completion of this course the user will:

  1. Learn about cultural practices that affect rice insect pest populations. 
  2. Understand advantages and disadvantages of cultural control practices.
  3. Explore different types of cultural control practices and the scale of adoption needed to derive benefit.
  4. Differentiate between cultural practices needed at the single field level vs. those requiring community-wide adoption. 
  5. Identify cultural control practices that can be adopted against specific pests
